A little overly touchy with the landlord, no? Granted, the landlord unwittingly walked into an already touchy situation. As the Maintainer stalks off I'm reminded of Bartok the fruit bat's line from Anastatia: "This can only end in tears!" :) I think it’s interesting that the Maintainer and his wife are kind-of aggressively defensive in the first panel.
