2-8 Nameless
Saturday, May 12th, 2007J.D.: I remember you having me pose with Nelson for this page. Those are my hands in panel 4.
Craig: Yep. I’m very pleased with how Lillith’s hands came out. I don’t draw hands too well yet, so I’m always proud when I draw a pair that look sort of realistic. 🙂
Kitsune: Aren’t her hands soft and pretty?
Craig: For the curious, the Maintainer’s desktop is a KDE Linux setup. I used a Knoppix CD to create the screenshot. I was trying out different versions of Linux at the time. Although I didn’t end up staying with Knoppix, it got me hooked on Linux. I’m now a happy Ubuntu user.
J.D.: Speaking of the Maintainer, I sewed Craig an outfit like that for GenCon a couple of years ago.
Craig: Oh, yeah! That was an awesome costume. It even had the vest. We tied my hair into tiny braids so that it would look like the Maintainer’s dreadlocks.
J.D.: I went as Lillith. It was a very popular costume.
Craig: Indeed. The swooping neckline on Lillith’s bodice made you the center of attention.
Craig: But anyway! About today’s page. All sorts of interesting revelations. First, that Leon lost his name upon entry into Mythband — and nobody seems to know how.
J.D.: And the Maintainer himself is under penance and nameless.
Craig: Being nameless has some profound consequences. Note that Lillith refers to the Maintainer as “Husband.” No one calls him by name — any name. And although the Maintainer has been constantly complaining about Leon, Lillith forgot his name until the Maintainer spoke it aloud.
J.D.: Names are important. To quote Tolkien, “Who are you, alone, yourself and nameless?”

What do you mean you don’t draw good hands. Look at the hands throughout this page. They are awsome.

ANDY! It’s great to hear from you! How the heck are you? I guess if an art professor says I draw good hands, I can’t argue with that… 😉
