Craig: Me too. 
J.D.: We caught a lot of flak for the way we represented Lucky in pages like this one.
Craig: Well, I don’t want to comment too much before events later in this chapter, but let me just say that we designed Lucky’s character well before we drew these.
J.D.: And the difference depicted later has more to do with improving artistic ability than intentional deception.
Craig: More on that later. Anyway, I love that Lucky’s characters are named “Lucky”.
J.D.: I love the subtle shades of green whenever you look at a screen displaying Mythband.
Craig: Yep, color plays an important role in this comic. If something’s a color, it’s for a reason.

I noticed the color difference in the icon this time around on the last page as well. I must say that later strips did catch me off guard after this introduction to Lucky… But there is nothing wrong with it that I can think of.

I remember reading this back in 2004, and I still consider the first panel really funny
The interaction between Lucky and Kate is clever.
On the side note, what does CHU stand for?
