Craig: I just love every page. They’re all my favorites.
J.D.: And Leon finds himself naked again. In fact, the only reason he appears to wear clothes in Mythband is because Lillith clothed him.
Craig: What’s interesting about that is that although Lillith clothed him, his clothes have a green hue instead of a pink one. This shows that Lillith is able to manipulate Mythband power as well as her own.
J.D.: I’m not sure I would put it that way. I mean, she certainly does have the power to manipulate Mythband; as we’ve seen, she clothed Leon. But more that she is able to affect Mythband with her power, hence her job as the help file.
Craig: Yes, well put. She was able to give him a presence in Mythband. In panel 1, we can see that stripped of those clothes, Leon is still the brown of the Earth Realm that he is native to.
J.D.: Indeed, stripped of the power she is lending him, Leon is as she found him, naked and chained.
Craig: Leon’s hair is lank and his beard is scraggly. It was really fun drawing him that way again, because for the last dozen pages or so I’ve been drawing him in his more heroic Mythband form.
J.D.: Lillith is pretty unhappy with Leon when she pulls him back.
Craig: When Leon’s chains are pulled tight, they also become visible again.
J.D.: It was really nice of the Maintainer to allow his chains to extend so far as the Hall of Portals. He could have made them reach only as far as the edges of Mythband.
Craig: I was a little embarrased when I saw that you had included the quote “I love this comic” in the background of panel 1. It seemed a little self-indulgent.
J.D.: So, I’m a shameless promoter of Penance. Shouldn’t I be? Besides, when we originally published this page, our readers found it fun to point that out.
Craig: I believe you pulled that quote from the forum page at that time.
J.D.: Not directly, but it had been said several times, so I felt safe including it. It had been over the Internet, therefore it’s fair game out in the Internet void. 😀
Craig: I love the concept of the Hall of Portals. It’s fun to take Internet conventions and give them flesh, as it were. When you type into an IM window, what you say might just be appearing in magical portal an unimaginable distance away.
J.D.: And in a realm that you could never fly to, no matter how far you took your spaceship.
Craig: So be nice to people on the Internet.
J.D.: You never know which ones might lose their temper…

Question: Even though it probably isn’t intentional.. in panel 2, Lillith’s hair appears to take a winged shape.. Is this possibly a forsight into more about Lillith?
The green glow of the chain ends. Very nice.

I just noticed something. While Leon stays same greenish color between Mythband and this place Lilith changes color. Lilith is here violet when she was in previous chapter greenish like everything else.
Also that portal is Mythband green, while everything else (except Leon) is violet.
