Dog Days
Monday, September 1st, 2008I finished the pencils on page 3-44 last night, and handed them off to J.D. for inking and coloring. Next page will be up as soon as she’s done with it.
The sketch above is from page 3-25. I noticed it when I was going through our archives, and it made me long for an old-fashioned summer barbeque with friends and family. There’s not nearly enough stuff piled on that dog, though — I like mine in one of the following ways:
1. Mustard with a mountain of Sauerkraut.
2. Fresh-cut onions with ketchup and deli mustard.
3. Sriracha and cheese.
4. All of the above.

What? No chili? Chili cheese dogs are yummy! Of course, I also eat them with ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish. The kraut’s good, too.

Just about anything you can put ketchup on, you could put ranch dressing on instead. Mmmm, ranch dogs.

Andi: Ooh, chili dogs. You’re right, those are great!
nerdpride: Haven’t tried ranch dogs. Sounds… different.

Dogs on the grill are great! Doesn’t really matter to me whats on it if the friends and family barbecue is going on!
